The Millmoor Appeal 09/10/05 – Pledge Support and Paint A Future

Last updated : 22 September 2005 By Deano

Brinnie’s post about the ‘tatty flags’ on the Millmoor Lane shed has simply taken off (if those flags aren’t replaced soon then they might literally!) and with a number of people pledging support to the cause, it’s looking like October 9th could well be a successful day down at Millers headquarters.

A special mention must go out to Brinnie and his hard work so far. A big thanks to A. C. COKING of Fitzwilliam Road in Rotherham for their kind donation of 25 litres of Post office red paint and white matt emulsion, which got the ball rolling. We now have plenty of flags at the ready thanks to Uttis, whilst I am currently shopping around and having a word with a contact to try and get a good quality St. George cross made up.

Substantial donations have been made to ‘the kitty’ so far, if anyone is willing to donate anything however great or small the amount, then it would be greatly appreciated. We are also on the lookout for any paint, brushes, rollers, etc so have a root into garages or sheds (your own obviously!)

Most importantly though, this appeal is about supporters’ time and effort, so spread the word. Thanks to the people at the club for making this happen as without permission this would have been a non-starter. Lets make Millmoor a ground we can all be proud of.
