Stewart upbeat on new stadium

As reported a couple of weeks ago, the prime site which the Millers wanted for the new stadium had fallen through, Tony Stewart gives his thoughts to Radio Sheffield.

"I've been a bit downbeat over the last six or seven months as a lot of work has gone in and it seems as though we've got nowhere but yet the effort has gone in."

"We've had to talk to parties that own property. Me, the club and the council have been heavily involved but we've been disappointed because of the outcome, but I have to say the last two weeks has been more upbeat and it seems that now we're moving forward more positively and everybody, the council and everybody thats involved are putting the effort in."

"I think we realise that time is of the essence, not only the fans, but people at the club and the council, we've got great expectations. I do see that.. With the effort going in now, I'd like to put a time on it but I can't."

"I think when you stick your neck out, sometimes your going to get your head knocked off. But there are moves afoot now, there are two sites which I believe we could get the nod on in weeks and not months certainly." he added.
