Season Ticket FAQ

Last updated : 02 May 2005 By Bigrich.....

All season ticket renewals will be possible from tomorrow (everyone will have until 1st july to renew their seat)

Ticket prices are frozen at the same across all categories… (this is fantastic deal for a new stand, most clubs would do massive price hikes) you’ll get an extra 5% off if you are a renewal.

New stand tickets are only available to begin with to the first priority category of existing main stand renewals, and existing enclosure renewals, in a place near as possible to where they want to be. However enclosure will not be able to move up into areas that existing main stand season tickets occupy (otherwise it would be unfair to those already in the main stand). They will be allocated seats as near as possible to where they are in the enclosure. If they want to transfer after july 4th that’s fine.

The new stand is a different design, position and layout and difficult to compare to the old, but all views will be better. So don’t worry if you are not exactly where you were before, there’s no direct comparison really. Some areas especially around the lounges and boxes will be corporate sales, all part of the financial stack up of getting it built. That will be a big part of the new revenue stream coming from the stand to enable better squad development.

Once the renewal period is over (from july 4th), all other season ticket holders will be able to buy seats anywhere in the remainder of the stand, and they’ll get a week to do so. After that its new season ticket buyers.

If you want to transfer to the new stand from anywhere such as the tiv, but only when the new stand is finished, you can do so (say in December if it goes well) by a normal ticket transfer to whatever is available.

All season ticket buyers/renewals for new stand seats will be accommodated in the railway end until the seat is ready. Again if it goes well it’s hoped some of the front rows of the stand might be ready from the first home game. All of this temporary accommodation will be unreserved and accessed from the existing enclosure turnstiles.

No season ticket books will be issued just yet, there are some printing and voucher issues to be resolved, so you’ll get a receipt with the book to follow. The decision was to get things moving before the season ends so people could get sorted to renew if they wanted to.

Able 2 buy is a method of spreading the payment for tickets and also shop goods and RUST donation packages….it’s an online system, and you can getup to £1500 fairly instant credit, tickets are paid for direct, and the shop items are purchased using vouchers you can buy from the system. If you pay for your ticket by credit card there will be £10 charge…its hefty, but the bank levy it and the club loses a big chunk of money otherwise if people pay that way. There’s no such charge on able2buy (one of the reasons it was introduced for fans benefit)

If people are not sure or don’t have access to a computer, RUST will hold a workshop and help register you if you want. If you say you want to use able2buy to renew, you get your seat number and a week to register the payment. Able2buy have a good helpline to explain things.

The ticket office will be working like mad this week, and there are only so many computers so they’ve asked if we can be as patient as possible….with the new stand coming on line there are a few different issues from a usual year so the first time its done we’ll need to bear with them.
