Peter R - Rallying call
After the second mailshot from RUST which landed on peoples doorsteps over the weekend, Donations have taken a upsurge and have pushed the RUST total to over £100,000 so far, but there is still a way to go."

Speaking to the Star before the above was known, Millers Chairman Peter Ruchniewicz called for all Millers fans to pull together to raise enough money to get the stand project started. "We are at the stage where people must make their donations and also back up their pledges this week,"

"Fans can only give what they can but we are urging those who have not yet contributed to do so, whatever the amount. It is not just about those supporters who will be sitting in the stand. It is about it being a facility for the benefit of everyone connected with Rotherham United and also a benefit to the town and the community.

"This is important for our future. We keep stressing it but we need everyone to contribute, to give what they can." Ruchiniewicz added.

Donations can be made via the RUST website - www.RUFCtrust.co.uk and by mail by sending donations to RUST, PO BOX 462, ROTHERHAM, S65 2AD.

What its all about
With the deadline looming of 12Noon on Monday, RUST Chairman Craig Saunderson is urging fans to send thier donations in now. "We cannot thank enough the supporters who have pledged money - their backing has given us a terrific start. But we still have a long way to go in a short period of time. I am urging all Millers fans or people who just love the game to get behind what we are trying to achieve.

"Please don't fail to make your donation because of complacency or because you ran out of time," Saunderson told the Star.

The Millers are needing a minimum of £229,000 from all sources to get the building started, every penny is needed so please donate what you can.
