Saunderson, talking to themillers.co.uk said: "As one of the founders of RUST I am really sad to be standing down. My decision not to stand for re-election has been an extremely difficult one.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed the last year playing my part in the developing of RUST and feel that as an organisation we have helped play a significant part in involving fans in the continuing development of Rotherham United."

Saunderson is still hoping to play an advisory role in the development of the trust and urged all RUST members to put forward their ideas to help RUST continue to grow, and furthermore nominate themselves for consideration for election to the RUST board.

People are also being reminded that it's not too late to buy a brick for Christmas as the trust aim to raise another £50,000 towards the new stand by the festive period.
