The Administrator of Rotherham United has confirmed that a number of formal offers have been received from prospective purchasers by today's 5pm deadline.
Administrator Jeremy Bleazard, of XL Business Solutions, said "I am very encouraged that a number of bids have come in and I will spend the next couple of days considering each one on its merits. I hope to begin formal discussions with a 'preferred' bidder early next week. "
Bleazard went on to confirm that the bids do not at this stage commit any of the prospective buyers to begin funding the club and that it is vital that supporters get behind the various fund raising efforts not to mention go along to tomorrow's game.
He stated "Though this is good news our cash flow still does not allow me to pay the full amount of the player's or staff wages. I cannot stress enough how important our need for funds still is and hope that everyone does not simply assume that everything will now be alright".
