Robins who has taken charge of first team affairs since the sacking of Alan Knill has officially applied for the job, and with 3 wins from five and 2 clean sheets must have given himself a good chance of getting it.

Interviews will be held next week and it seems there is a wide and varied mix of applicants. Brian Little is amongst the 11 while a former Italian manager is coming over and another applicant is coming from Ireland.

Other rumoured applicants are Keith Alexanda, Billy McEwan, Martin Scott amongst others.

Denis Coleman told todays 'Tiser "We've had a company looking into the backgrounds of all the applicants and we believe these 11 are the ones worth speaking to."

"As we've said before, there are no favorites. Mark wants the job and has now officially applied, every good result we get with him in charge does him a favour." Denis added.
