Tonight's events at Prenton Park have just about confirmed the fact that the man that has done just about every job at Millmoor will be returning in the near future..
After just a season at Tranmere, Ronnie Moore's right hand man has resigned due to the amount of travelling he is having to do everyday while trying to look after his daughter after the sad death of his wife.
Ronnie Moore told the Tranmere Rovers official website; "I will be very sorry to see John leave but completely understand and respect his decision. I have had twelve years working with John and he has been more like a brother to me than an assistant. It will be a sad loss not to have him around."
"At the present time I am in no rush to appoint a new assistant. I will take my time with the decision as it has to be the right person for the job."
John added: "I have loved working for Tranmere this season but can no longer spend so much time away from my family. I will be sad to leave and wish Ronnie, the players and the Club the very best of luck for next season."
