Painting At Millmoor Part Two!

Last updated : 23 October 2005 By Deano
After a heavy night on the ale and a prior engagement, i arrived later than planned at Millers HQ to find the lads hard at work painting the wall on the uncovered part of Millmoor Lane.......and the sight of Brin grinning at a huge cherry picker!

Dedicated Workforce
The new flags had arrived on Thursday, so with a method to get them up on the roof (they look great!) finally sorted, it was now time to finish what we had started with paintbrush in hand. As well as giving surrounding areas a second lick of paint, we were on the look out for suggestions as to what else needed a spruce up. The focus of today's work was inside the ground, with the turnstiles, gates and surrounding doors already looking a fresher shade of red.

After the 1pm pie fest we had a few more pictures taken,
Pics With The Flag
especially for the benefit of those people that turned up this time that weren't at the first meet. Cheers to all those Millers for their hard work, you know who you are. The pics will appear on the site in the near future. The afternoon then saw the biggest job of the lot - on Tuesday night some of you may notice that the wall behind the Tivoli opposite the toilets is now white! this took a fair while to paint and although it does need another coat, time was against us. Hopefully it won't look as dull and depressing as it's the first time it's ever been painted.

I suppose all that remains is to thank everyone involved with the project, which i'm sure you all know about by now. Here's to a bright future in and around Millmoor, we as fans feel we have done our bit, the steel for the stand is here.....and there's no more tatty Earth Mortgages flags either!
