Mick Harford told BBC Radio Sheffield that Jon wanted to stay at Millmoor to fight for a first team place.

Staying
The Millers gaffer was willing to let Otsemobor out to play four games at the Bescot to improve the defenders fitness and give him a taste of first team action, but also commented he was delighted that the ex-Liverpool youngster saw his long-term future with the club.

Elsewhere it's been reported that Barry Conlon may need an operation and current club Barnsley suggest he could be out of action for upto a month.

Going?
Paolo Vernazza played for Barnet's reserves this week and if Bees boss Paul Fairclough is interested, Vernazza could well tie up a loan deal until the turn of the year. It's thought the ex-Arsenal and Watford midfielder would welcome a move back to his native London for a fresh start after an unhappy spell up north.
