Chairman Tony Stewart dismisses talk of a return to Millmoor this week despite all the problems and the supporters frustrations of watching their footy at Don Valley.
Stewart today ruled out Millmoor as an option for at least one season and his opinion had not changed from a few months ago. He told the Advertiser: "We have signed a lease at Don Valley and we would have to break it to make a new lease."It is now 18 months to two years since we left Millmoor and there are health and safety issues there. In addition we would have to do a deal with the landlords, the Booths.
"There are too many obstacles in the way. My energies are focused on building a fantastic new stadium for the club which we can move into in 2012."
The question of what the Millers' new ground will be named has been a popular talking point this week. The Foundry Stadium being a popular choice. Stewart remains open-minded though.
"The Foundry is a good suggestion but I'm not ruling out anything. People will pay big bucks for stadium naming rights but a commercial name could sit alongside the established stadium name. There are a lot things to consider and it's early days so we'll see," added Tony.
