Moore Still Bitter At Millmoor Chop

Moore, who was at the helm for 7 years, was given the boot just 26 days after the new Millers 05 board took over and his departure still riles him. Talking to controversial local newspaper, the Rotherham Advertiser Moore said: “The five wise men who took over made a decision and it was in their wisdom that somebody else got the job. But they should have given me the chance to try and take Rotherham back to the Championship. You want a bit of loyalty in those circumstances, especially after 80% of the fans in an Advertiser poll wanted me to stay and yet when the fans took over I got sacked. It doesn’t make sense really.

That 80% figure is of course inaccurate as the poll was taken prior to the failed Earth Mortgages takeover and Moore did lose a huge chunk of support after an embarrassing cup defeat to Yeovil and a particularly public private life. However, the fact remains that Moore was idolised by a large amount of the Rotherham faithful and Moore does not rule out a return to the manager’s hotseat one day in the future. “We had some wonderful times and they will always be a big part of me and who knows, you never say never about going back. I love Rotherham, it’s a big part of my life and I’m really looking forward to Monday”.

Support the new man!
Millersmad urges all supporters travelling to Oldham on Monday to support the team and new manager rather than showing the old manager how grateful we are. Any Ronnie Moore songs, positive or negative should be left at home. Remember it’s Mick Harford’s Red and White army now!!!
