Millers Thursday Round-Up

The new stand down at Millmoor looks to be progressing rapidly, with the steel structure getting larger by the hour. The builders look to have been putting a shift in, in keeping with Chairman Peter Ruchniewicz's pledge that the first set of fans could be seated for the busy period of festive fixtures.

On the playing front, the youth team went out of the cup last night with an unfortunate defeat at Blackpool. They led with goals from Ryan Taylor and Jamie Green until the closing stages when the home team got back on terms. They eventually went down 3-2 after a late goal in extra time.

10 goals
Meanwhile, Deon Burton has been speaking about his disappointment at the team's poor run, and although pleased with his personal goal tally, seems baffled by the lack of victories. He told themillers.co.uk: "It's hard to understand why we have gone so long without that win because we work really hard throughout the week in training with everyone pulling together"

"I am quite happy that i have reached double figures and last week's goal came as a bit of a relief for me as i had gone a few games without scoring. But we have to get back on the winning trail and there's not alot of difference in the teams in this division so two or three wins would move us well up."
