The chairman spoke with the Advertiser and said the club were still on track to employ a full time manager before the end of the season, with a statement due on 5th April, after the game against Sheffield Wednesday.
"While we've not had a designated Manager on board we've had lots of enquiries and people putting their names into the hat. We are going to sit around a table during the International break and discuss the names, of which one is, of course, Paul Warne." Stewart said.
"It is important that we give the future Manager the necessary time to prepare for next season and I don't think anyone is kidding themselves that it's looking like League One. And we owe it to the fans to let them know our plans for the future." he added.
