Reports in todays Rotherham Star say that the striker that Knill is chasing is Preston North End's Dave Hibbert.

20 year old Hibbert was signed by PNE for £150,000 from Port Valve last September. He featured in 13 games last season although the vast majority of them coming off the bench. He has yet to open his PNE goal account.

Any deal to bring Hibbert in will be a loan deal.

Knill is also hoping to sign Eugen Bopp who has impressed while being on trial, Scoring a couple of goals, one against Sheffield United last Friday night.

Knill told todays Star: "He's had three games now and I like what I've seen but we both know there is a lot more in there. I'll sit down with him and see what we can do."

Martin Wood's is also expected to sign for us. The Midfielder who was released by Sunderland last season joined the club last week on trial, but did not feature in the Sheff U game.

"Had it been other opposition, say Grantham or Grimsby, then I would have given him some time out there,, but I'd like him here and, hopefully, we can sort something out." Knill told the star.

The deal would be a permanant contract.
