Knill not nailed on - Ruchniewicz

It seemed to be plonker central on Radio Sheffield tonight, with callers ringing up and stirring rumour after rumour, from Martin Butler moving to Sheffield Wednesday on loan before deadline day, and the usual Alan Knill is nailed on as boss.

One caller even claimed that the Millers board are 'hiding away'!! How the hell he came to that conclusion after 18 years of nothing I just dont understand!!

Peter Ruchniewicz listens to Football Heaven when he can and tonight he called up to clear a few rumours that was circulating, he was asked stright about if theres any players leaving. "All this about Martin Butler is the first I've heard!! and the bloke that mentioned Player unrest, I went in the dressing room on Saturday and they were the most cheerful bunch of lads you could meet. All this talk about unrest with Martin McIntosh it's all complete nonsense."

"People hear a rumour, put 2 and 2 together and get 58, I want to say its not ture, we're doing our best and we're trying to get things moving as fast as we can, but if people keep building on stuff, and I dont want to accuse fans of
being deliberately negative, but at times we've heard the stuff and first of all try and estabilish the facts first if you can! and if we can do anything to help people in that then we will do so as much as we possibly can!"

Peter wanted to reply to the claim about the board 'hiding away' as one caller claimed, "I heard an interview with John Harrison last week who went through a number of things, and I myself gave an interview to the fans unoffical website (could have given us a plug there Peter!!! - ed) and I think we've expressed it clearly that we're always available to talk wherever possible."

On the rumours that Alan Knill has the job nailed on! "No it's not true and Alan knows that and we know that, I would like to repeat what I've said
countless times. Yes he's a strong candidate as we have a strong regard for him, but he is going to be just one of the other candidates who surface, you must have heard us say that before. He's said it, it's not nailed on and that goes to Lawrence and any other caller that comes on saying its otherwise."

"We're going to make a judgement, see who comes forward and we'll do the best for Rotherham United, we do listen to what everybody say's and take it all on board. It's all part of the judgement process." Ruchniewicz added.
