With Murdock ruled out of Saturdays trip to Swansea Knill will be hoping that Pablo Mills, who missed out on Saturdays game will recover from injury, if not then David Worrell could be pushed into centre defence and Scott Wiseman coming in on the right.
Knill has also been dealt longer term injury blows with young striker Ryan Taylor havning been confirmed with glandular fever, which could well end his season such is the severity of the illness.
Meanwhile Paul Hurst's attempt to overtake Danny Williams record appearances seems to have taken a knock back for this season. The little defender underwent knee surgery last week but the damage to his knee was worse than expected and his return has now been put back from late January to Febuary.
"The thing with Lee is that he will always push himself and you don't want someone doing too much too soon, But we have monitored him closely and he has been running pain-free and that's good. He'll continue stepping things up and I know that he's eager to get back as soon as possible which is typical of the lad." Knill told todays Rotherham Star.
