In the 12 months since replacing Mick Harford, Knill has seen things that most managers never see in a whole career.

A much more media confident Alan Knill than a year ago told Real Radio that he feels privileged to be in the managers position.

Asked wether he was still loving the job, "I never said that!"Knill joked.

"Enjoyable is not the right word, it's good job and its kind of difficult, you get dragged all over I think I've seen 2 or 3 games this week and I've videos to watch by the time Saturday comes around so its a tough job but its a privileged position I hold as manager of Rotherham United."

"I don't take it lightly and realise that you have to put in the hours to get the results and I continue to do it. The missus isnt too happy but I continue to do it." he jested

Knilly was asked if more help would make the job more enjoyable, "No I dont think so, its the nature of the job. Everybody asks me if I'm enjoying it, but its not a job to enjoy. When we win its good and theres relief and I can go out on Sunday, if we lose you don't want to go out, you kind of want to stay in and think about the game. It's a relief to get the result over with and it quickly starts looking onto the next game and the pressure starts building again."

"I took it on and I'm slowly learning to deal better with it, but it's a pressure job and you have to enjoy the pressure to fulfill the job."

"The jobs full on, you never stop thinking about it, about saturday, the players, your staff or whats happening at the football club, its full on all the time. But you have to like the pressure and every manager I've known enjoys the pressure and without it they wouldnt be the same person. You start to cope with it better and deal with it, sometimes you thrive on it and kind of like it."

"I'm learning to deal with the pressure and its ok. I wouldnt say its an enjoyable job though, I wouldnt say that any manager would say its a really enjoyable job."
