Tom was speaking to the clubs official website today and spoke abuot his loan spell to Altrincham earlier this season.

"I think that the loan spell definitely helped in terms of playing in front of bigger crowds and dealing with playing at a higher level than what I had been used to," he said.

Cahill has been used in the last few games to give him some first team experience and has become popular with the fans with his work-rate, but he is yet to hit the back of the net, something he wants to rectify soon.

"Before the end of this season I want to get some goals, I think I need that first goal and then hopefully once I score that then the rest will start to fly in. I think that my aim for next season is to try and nail down a regular place, and become more consistent in front of goal." he added.

Tom also gave strike partner Ryan Taylor some praise, "I know Ryan really well and we have played up front with each other quite a few times in the reserves, I enjoy playing up front with him and I think that can be seen on the pitch and it's starting to become a good pairing."

Looking to off the field matters, Tom admitted that Friday's news that the club had recieved bids to takeover he cash-stricken club had been a boost.

"I don't think that it is any coincidence that when things are starting to look a little brighter off the field that we pick up, A few weeks back we were all trying to keep each other's morale up and trying to make training a little more fun but now you are never happier than when you are winning games."
