'Will' he sign?
Hoskins has been such a hit during the first few months of this season, the promised new contract talks which were due at Christmas have ben brought forward, with the club now offering the 21 year old a new contract in a bid to keep him and fend off an ever growing number of clubs that are intrested in his services.

Knill gave the striker a miniscule pay rise in the summer and told Hoskins and his agent that he needed to prove himself after spending a couple of years in the abyss.

Hoskins, who has been under the guidence of Knill since the age of 15 when he was bought from Notts County for £5,000, is expected to give the club an answer on an extended deal before Christmas.

Speaking to the Rotherham Star today, Alan Knill said; "Will is happy here, he's really enjoying his football like never before and I look forward to getting it all sorted satisfactorily, Although there are no details of the offer, it is likely to be a two year deal and it is inevitable that it will involve a considerably increased salary and clubs often lock in incentives."

"There has been mounting speculation about Will which is inevitable when a young player is doing extremely well and clubs come to watch." added Knill.

"I have the lad's welfare at heart and want what's the best for him at this stage of his career. I made him a promise last summer and, as a man of my word, I'm keeping that word. I believe that signing a new deal and continuing to progress here will be a great benefit both personally for him and for this football club."

Hoskins signing that new deal would be many Millers ideal Christmas prezzie!
