Harford Happy With Playing Squad

Harford's hands are tied with strict financial guidelines and a worrying injury list. Talking to BBC Radio Sheffield he said: "We want to put a competitive team out as we can and a team that can win games. I believe in the players we have got here but when you do have injuries it stretches you a little bit. I think we’ve just got enough to get through and I think with the quality we have got in the squad I think if we can get on a consistent run it’s only a matter a time before we climb the table."

Despite Walsall chasing Jon Otsemobor and Barnet taking Paulo Vernazza on trial, Harford commented that he has received no other enquiries for any of his players. "You’re always looking to bring players in and to move players out. Everyone knows there are players out of contract at the end of the season and some of them are on decent money, more than we can afford in this league so it’s a matter of moving a few players around. No disrespect to any of the players, the phone hasn’t rang for any of the players, you can’t move them out if nobody wants them and you can’t bring players in if no one is willing to let them go. As I said if we can get back to what we were, I’m happy with the players I’ve got, I’m not happy that we haven’t won for 11 games and we have to get back to winning ways."
