Evans is set to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's derby clash at Oakwell against Barnsley, after training with the Millers over the last two weeks.

After failing to make a first team appearance at Forest this season, Evans moved here to persue his match fitness and it seems he can't wait to get started in a Millers jersey.

Talking to themillers.co.uk, he said: "I am delighted to be back playing again and the lads have been very good to me during the last couple of weeks as they have made it very easy for me to settle in here. Now I am just hoping i can help them to pull away from the wrong end of the table.

"I haven't started a first team game so far this season and when i first arrived here my fitness was a little behind the other lads but i have worked hard on that aspect so i am feeling good again and ready to play."

Millers followers may remember Paul from his spell as Brentford captain during early 2000 and onwards, he went on to make 154 appearances and bagged 34 goals. A holding midfield player and free kick specialist who loves to spray the ball around but also put his foot in, he could be ideal for competition in the Rotherham midfield.

As well as 53 games for Nottingham Forest under his belt, the 31 year-old also brings with him vast experience of league football, with career spells at Shrewsbury, Bradford and a brief stint at Blackpool.
