Back in the frame.
Freeman told BBC Radio Sheffield that he plans to try again for control at Millmoor. Freeman is wanting to contact Ken Booth to re-ignite talks.

Meanwhile RUST (Rotherham United Supporters Trust) Chairman David Veal has announced that the trust are also looking to meet with Booth in regard to a partial fans takeover. "We at RUST, as do all fans, share the frustrations of the club at this takeover collapse and it does seem this was not the club's fault."

"It is now time for supporters to have a proper say in the future ownership of the football club and we will be following up a proposal the Supporters Trust presented to the club several weeks ago by talking to them to see if we can find a way forward which ensures the future of Rotherham United is secured, The days of the one-man band are disappearing," Veal said.

RUST's representitive on the RUFC board Chris Dobbs also said “Everyone involved with the club is obviously frustrated at last week’s events but now we have to look forward to the future. That way forward could well be community ownership involving the supporters more and we may have to look at raising money from fans."

"Community support could well be the way forward as that has happened at other clubs. We'll be looking into the possibility of setting up a wider community scheme involving the rugby club and the Council and we will be holding a meeting in the next couple of weeks."

G8 / Gazza - whoever?
The Club are also dismissing rumours that the accounts are in a state, after EM pulled out of the deal saying that there something in the rpeort they didnt like! - Personally I think they really wanted G8 or Gazza to us! as manager. When they saw the reaction of the fans towards this news they then probably realised they were in the cack.

Also a litte rumour I have heard is that it was Gazza's agent which leaked the Takeover collapse to the press, how true this is I dont know but it does certainly tally up.

However the clubs Cheif Executive - Phil Henson denied the clubs finances were in a mess, he told the Rotherham Star "Our accounts are audited regularly, nothing untoward has ever been uncovered and everything is paid on time, VAT, Inland Revenue, PAYE, our bills etcetera.," he said.

"We have a high overdraft facility with the bank and, importantly, we have a cross guarantee with the CF Booth group on the overdraft facility at the bank without which Rotherham United would not be able to trade." he concluded.
