Winger Chris Shuker is keen for the Tykes, who he joined from Manchester City to heap more misery on Rotherham. Talking to Teamtalk he said: “The last time out against Rotherham was not the kind of game that sticks in the memory. It was a bad ground, bad weather and not a nice game to play in. We want to pick up three points this weekend. We beat them at their place and there is no reason why we can't do the same here at Oakwell. They are on a poor run - we are on a good run, we're going into the game with confidence and we want all three points”.

Meanwhile, fit again defender, Paul Reid wants to use the game against the out of form Rotherham to improve their recent derby day record. “We have another local derby coming up against Rotherham and to be fair it is about time that we started turning over some of our near rivals on a regular basis. Hopefully we did that the other week when we beat Rotherham at their place and we want to continue. Having so many local teams in the same division has not worked well for us in the last two seasons and we have not had the best record in derby games. We want to put that right and it is all about restoring some local pride on Saturday. We can beat anyone at Oakwell and it would be even better if we can beat one of our local rivals this weekend”, he told the Barnsley Official site.

Finally, match winner in the first meeting of the season just 24 days ago, Martin Devaney who was also talking to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk is keen to repeat his exploits. “We have another local derby coming up this weekend against Rotherham. It should be a good atmosphere in the stadium - I got the winner against them at Millmoor so hopefully I can do it again”.
