History of the Stockport County v Rotherham United fixture

Rotherham pack their bags to visit Stockport County at Edgeley Park on Tuesday evening, needing to turn around their fortunes at the ground. The Millers will be hoping to improve upon a record which has seen them ending up on the losing side in more than half of the games played between the two.

The previous match played between the two at Edgeley Park was more than three years back, in August 2007, where the two teams cancelled each other out in an enthralling 2 - 2 draw in a League Two match.

Ronnie Moore's men will be confident of improving on their record with Stockport's poor home form seeing them win only once at home this season, and shipping five goals on no less than four occasions.

Recent respective form guides

As mentioned, Stockport need to improve on their recent home record of just 3 draws from the previous six. While the Hatters have scored 6, a worringly large 17 have been leaked at the other end.

The Millers' away form is good in contrast, picking up four victories from the last six with a narrow positive goal difference over these games, with 8 goals for and 7 against.

Team News...
After being spanked 5-1 by Gillingham at the weekend, and including four new players, County are looking to bounce straight back with a positive result.

Caretaker boss Peter Ward is set to start with two of those new faces, Ismael Demontagnac who netted on his debut, and Anthony Elding who is back with the club after previous spells, but Ward could make other changes. Full back Mark Lynch will line up against his former club.

Ronnie Moore is set to include Ryan Taylor for the Millers who has survived an injury scare after the win at Macclesfield. Johnny Mullins and Adam Le Fondre return to face their old club, and it's likely Kevin Ellison will be included too against his former employers after Will Atkinson opted to join Rochdale.

Moore also continues to persue the transfer market to try and bring in another loan player before the game.
