20Questions Leyton Orient pt2

Last updated : 28 December 2006 By Bigrich.....
Who are yer and how long have you supported Leyton Orient?
Jack Pridmore and 12 years

What made you support your club?
The prestige mainly. Or more accurately my Dad, who's been a supporter since 1962...forcing me into going. Bastard.

Whats your favorite away day and why?

Of course being only a part time fan I don't get to do many, Oxford away for obvious reasons was amazing, so would have to put that as this is only our first season back in League One.

Whats your proudest moment being a O's fan?
Oxford Away again, was brilliant. Beating Fulham in their own backyard was another highlight in the FA Cup. Im usually always proud to say Im an O's fan, although there have been a few occasions...

And your most embarassing / disappointing?
Our start to League One life was shocking, we looked like a relegated-at-March type of club. That was very dissapointing as I tipped us to be at least in the Playoffs. We also didn't play much football, and thats our best attribute and why I keep going so without it we were pretty bad.

Who are your main rivals?
Southend, Brighton, Barnet, West Ham and Brentford, in no particular order. Ok, West Ham first.

If Orient was a Song, what would it be, and why?
"Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" Mr Eric Idle, because we have to, constantly.

Matt Lockwood
Whos your all time favorite player, and why??
Tough one. Alex Inglethorpe was my first favourite and i still high up the list. Matt Lockwood has been an excellent servant of the club for years, and his loyalty (just you watch him go to Forest now) and passion for the club is easily seen. He can also play a bit. Carl Griffiths was also a favourite, quite simply was able to put the ball in the net, something we always seem to lack. Lee Steele, the man that sent us up, is high on the list too.

Half way in, hows your season tracked out so far??
If you would have asked me last month I would have said we are certainly going down after a rubbish start, however in the last few weeks I have begun to regain my happy clappy status and think if we can work at it we can survive probably around the same place as we are occupying right now. So it's been alot worse than expected, but reality hurts.

Whats been the difference with the upturn in form??
I have absolutely no idea, things may have just started to "click". Then again 3 excellent additions of Luke Guttridge from Southend, Alton Thelwell from Hull and James Walker from Charlton seem to have improved things dramatically, maybe we have realised there IS a big gap between Leagues One and Two!

Think you have enough to stay up?
In a word: Yes. In more words: Yes, we shouldn't be in this position in my opinion and I really felt we could have done better and I think we will steadily improve and pick up the points to keep us up, but it's squeaky bum time, thank you Mr Ferguson.

One player from this division you would like in your team, and why?
Billy Sharp - Far far too good for this division. Can I have two? Jarvis at Gillingham.

Is there cash available for you to strengthen in Jan?
No one really knows, we thought there was earlier in the season but not sure now. I think so, and if we can bring Guttridge, Thelwell and a striker in I would be delighted...there's more needed but let's not go mad! I also think that with Adam Tann hopefulyl back to full fitness, it will be like a good new signing anyway

Worried about losing any players come the January sales?
If we lose Matt Lockwood it would be a huge loss, there's no doubt about that in my mind. Some people may disagree, but I don' think they will realise until he's gone how invaluable he is to the club. Adam Chambers is someone that deserves the right to play at a higher level and there's clubs probably sniffing around him, he would be a loss.

Who's your strongest / Weakest link?
I feel that Lockwood, Easton, Chambers and Saah are the 4 players we can simply not lose and think they are a nucleus of our side. I don't think we have many weak players but I wouldn't exactly be inconsoluble if Jabo left and got us a biit of money!

Predicted Line-up?

Garner,

Miller Saah Mackie Lockwood

Chambers Easton Barnard Corden

Walker Alexander

(probably 8/9 inaccuracies in there)

Predicted Score?
1-1

Whos going up??
Forest, Oldham and Doncaster

And who's going down?
Brentford, Cheltenham, Millwall and Chesterfield (yes, Chesterfield!)

And finally. Steak & Kidney, Meat & Tatty or Balti??
Do what son? Jellied Eels.
