More Lame Excuses From Harford Following Embarrassing Cup Defeat

With a large number of fans now wanting his head, Harford is really feeling the pressure and offered no support for his players. Talking to Millersworld, Harford said: "We fielded an experienced team and I am not making any excuses, we didn't perform and that wasn't acceptable. We were the better team in the first half but a game lasts 90 minutes. We never made a tackle in the second half and didn't have a shot until Will Hoskins hit the post. In all fairness Macclesfield deserved their victory after their battling second half performance, when they got the equaliser it looked as if there was only one team going to win it and that was them. We conceded two very poor goals defensively, we spoke to the players before the game telling them not to get too tight to Parkin but we gave a free kick away and the ball ended in our net.
Time Running Out??

'Hand In Pocket' Man Harford admits he is feeling the pressure but also shifted some of the blame on to his lacklustre players. "Things have to change and we have to go to Walsall on Saturday and win. If it doesn't change then I come under pressure and I accept that, it's part of the job of being manager and at the moment I feel under pressure. I asked the players if they really cared after the game, does it hurt? I don't think some of them do. I will have to ride the storm and get through it."
