A happy Alan Knill gave his post match thoughts to Radio Sheffield after the Millers got a deserved win at the Brittania stadium thanks to a lsat minute own goal by Stoke forward Giften Noel-Williams.

Knill told Radio Sheffield "It was a good performance today, First half we deserved to go one up and second we went a little bit deep, you could see the fear in the players as they dont want to lose. Instead of going forward they went backwards, then we conceded the goal, but we didnt fold and kept going."

"We talked about going down and we didnt want to be the first team that goes down (Stockport got relegated today!). The squad did really well and hopefully we can take it onto Ipswich on Tuesday."

"There are no easy games and Ipswich watched us today and probably think they dont want to play us, all of a sudden we was physical, as you've seen today when you come to places like this you have to put up with a physical battle and we were pretty good ourselves."

"We've been onto the players all the time, that Winning is the most important thing and wether its in training or whatever we do its about winning and I think we're just about getting there."

Knill was glad of the fortnight break the Millers have just enjoyed due to the World Cup qualifiers last weekend, "We've done a lot of work and it's given us time to get the injured players fit like Martin Butler and Chris Swailes back. We've also signed a couple of players, Michael Keane full time and Tony Thorpe on loan."

"Thorpe's a very good player, you dont get fee's of £2million if your not, he's really clever, although he looks like he needs another game to get his sharpness, but hes great in training and always trying to do his best."

Midfielder Michael Keane was carried off during the second half, however it seems that he is better than he looked! "As he's run past the lad he's hit his arm on the lads head, its gone numb and initially we thought he had broken it. He's in a sling at the moment but we think he's going to be alright and we'll see him tomorrow if hes going to be alright for Ipswich on Tuesday."
