"It was a poor game, Rotherham didnt play well at all, they never started and never threatened. I was dissapointed with the performance of the majority of the players and it cumilated in the result and Watford were worthy winners." Harford told Radio Sheffield

"I'm waiting for somebody to inspire me, someone to jumpout and say 'Play me! I want to be your captain, I wanna be the leader of Rotherham' but its not happening at the moment"

"I expect more than that from any player on the football pitch, they're playing for their futures and what they've shown me in tha last 2 games isnt really good enough. The clubs relegated and I've told the players to go out and express themselves, maybe thats a pressure on them?"

"The players have been on a bit of a downer for a long time here at Rotherham and maybe its starting to tell on them, but I'm not going to accept those kind of performances."

Shocking
When asked wether fresh players are needed, Mick told the official club website "The only way to change things is to change the players and at this football club I think that is what is needed - a big overhaul and a big turn around of players."
"No disrespect to the players who have done great for the club in the last few years but it's time to move on with a clean sweep. I don't think there will be much money to spend it will be a case of loans and free transfers as there will be plenty of players available at the end of the season." he added.

Back to his interview with Radio Sheffield, "I want to see better performances, I want to see a bit more urgency, I want more professionalism from them and its just not there at the moment."

Chris Swailes missed the game yesterday, and Harford gave the reasons why, "I just wanted to see somebody else at center-half, I spoke to Chris before the game and he understands taht I need to look at every player withen the club. I've spoke with him and he will come back into contention next week."

"You learn a lot about a footballer over 90 minutes and in training, you do learn quickly. I've got a fair idea of wahts gong on at this football club now, Theres a lot of hard work, its a long road ahead as everyone understands. and I'll work tirelessly to turn it around."

Marc Newsham

"The only good thing to come out of today was young Marc Newsham. He's looked lively in the reserves and in training, he came on and showed a bit of life and urgency about him and I'm deligthed for the kid."

Harford is looking to give the youth a chance, "If they're showing in training and if theyre prepared to work hard and ready to take the responsibility of coming into the first team then I'm prepared to give them the chance."
