We didnt do enough to win

“I’m disappointed but I don’t think we did enough to win the game,” said Hamshaw,  “I thought it was a bit of a poor game, we could have been better in certain areas, I thought we lacked a bit of conviction and confidence which is surprising after Saturday and I’m disappointed with the outcome.

“People say positives are a clean sheet and all the rest of it, but I thought it was a disappointing night. We looked a bit flat, made a few changes at half-time and kind of gave Mansfield a leg up too many times when we were in control of possession.”

“We’ve lost two players every game and lost two more today and that’s my frustration,” continued Hamshaw.

“We make positives but then look flat, albeit I might wake up tomorrow and think that’s a good point. But at the same time I just felt we didn’t do enough to win the game and certainly at this stage we need to be better than that.

“I think it was tired but we can’t use excuses. It’s five games in 14 days, other teams have had the same.”
