“Look, it's tough at the minute, it's tough for everybody. I appreciate the support that a number of fans are giving me, I also understand the negativity that a lot of others are giving me. I ‘get’ it.
“It's hard sometimes, as somebody who feels as passionately about this club as I do, to go over at the end of a game, for example, and say thank you for coming when you're just getting abused And I am getting abused. I don't sit here and say I'm not.”
“I thank the fans because I know how hard it is for them. I know some of the rubbish they've had to put up with and I'm trying my best to turn it around.
“We're in a difficult spot but now, more than ever, we need unity. I've been saying since day one that we need everyone to come together.”
