Moulin Rouge Review: Gillingham

Last updated : 20 November 2005 By Millersmad Staff
I can get used to this winning at home lark. Seven goals in two games and finally that feeling of dread about coming to Millmoor is going away. This was as easy as the score line suggests really and Gillingham and Darren Byfield offered very little and are gonna struggle this year I think. The first half was a bit of a non event and to be honest I found difficulty concentrating on the game instead deciding to entertain myself by trying to send videos on my mobile phone over Bluetooth to random people in the Tivoli! Can’t remember any clear cut chances in the first half apart from Lee Williamson having a shot blocked when he should have buried it.

The second half started superbly though as we scored within two minutes. A real quality goal as well and that set us up for a half of total domination. We had a usual period of pounding their goal but not being able to score, well we have made that a weekly occurrence no point changing now, and eventually we got the second with about 10 minutes left and what a cracker. Keane to Butler. Butler beats man. Butler to Burton. Bang. Butler then got on the score sheet himself and it was thoroughly deserved as it was probably his best performance of the season. Great second half performance, great goals, great win!! Off to Forest next week, we are due a win over them you know.
