Rotherham 0-0 Bury

A cracking first half of fast open football somehow ended goalless and although most of the chances went Rotherham's way, the best chance fell to the visitors.

Rotherham thought they had the ball in the net after just three minutes as Ryan Taylor's shot certainly looked to have crossed the line before being hoofed clear.

Johnny Mullins fired over from Callum Kennedy's free kick and from another Kennedy free-kick Ryan Cresswell headed over the bar. Just before the break, Le Fondre's shot was saved by Cameron Belford.

The clearest chance however fell to Bury's Andy Bishop after 25 minutes. Set up by Ryan Lowe, he fired straight at goalkeeper Andy Warrington with all the goal to aim at.

And 12 minutes later Kyle Bennett whacked a shot into the side netting from Steven Schumacher's pass.

Three minutes after the break Tom Lees missed a glorious chance for Bury, shooting wide from inside the six-yard box and at the other end Le Fondre's clever lob was saved at full stretch by Belford.

Nicky Law then raced clear but after a poor touch, slid the ball wide of Belford's post.

But as hard as both teams tried to find the winner it somehow eluded both of them.
