Millers 3 - Barnet 0

Last updated : 26 September 2009 By Bigrich.....
Ronnie Moore, who was appointed into the Millers hot-seat on Thursday, watched from the stands as goals from Kevin Ellison, Nicky Law and Adam Le Fondre gave Rotherham the points and condemned Barnet to their first defeat in nine games.

The Millers made the perfect start and went ahead after just five minutes when Ellison fired home from close-range after good work from Le Fondre on the right wing.

Barnet almost levelled when Andy Warrington was called on to make a good save from an Albert Jarrett drive but the hosts doubled their lead when Nicky Law latched on to Tom Pope's pass and finished coolly with a lobbed finish midway through the first half by chipping the keeper.

Le Fondre then put the game to bed by netting his sixth goal of the season. The striker was fed by a neat Danny Harrison pass and he created space for himself before running clean through and hitting home past Jake Cole.

It could have been even more for the Millers but Harrison, Nick Fenton and Ryan Taylor all missed opportunities as Rotherham remain in third spot with a three point cushion on the play off pack.
