Hodgeys Nottingham Forest Review

I thought a draw would be a great result against the league leaders, but the Mighty Millers pushed them all the way, and nearly snatched a win, if it wasn't for Forest substitute Nathan Tyson. Nottingham born wonder kid Will Hoskins put the Millers in front with a brilliant half-volley that nestled past Forest ‘keeper Paul Smith and into the top left hand corner.

Early in the first half a David Worrell cross was met by Delroy Facey, who could only put his shot wide.

Rotherham ‘keeper Neil Cutler had a great game, and his first brilliant save came from a Sammy Clingan 20 yard volley.

The Millers had a penalty claim on 20 minutes when the Rotherham players believed that Pablo Mills effort had been handled on the line.

Martin Woods has his best game in a Millers shirt since joining on a 2-year deal from Sunderland. He ran the midfield brilliantly, could he be the one to fill Lee Williamson's boots IF he leaves ? His free-kick curled wide just before half-time.

Cutler made another great save on 50 minutes when Forest's James Perch played Kris Commons in but Cutler was quickly off his line to stop Commons in his tracks.

This already exciting game became even more exciting when Will Hoskins scored his 11 th league goal of the season. He controlled a great through ball with his chest and smashed the ball home! The Millers fans were ecstatic! I was stood on the backs of people's seats jumping on everyone!

Former Forest player Eugen Bopp was also having a fantastic game, and he was determined to get one against his former club. And he nearly did he received the ball with his chest and his volley landed on the roof of the net.

But the Millers couldn't hold on, and Forest got a goal which they didn't deserve. On 88 minutes Nathan Tyson latched on to a long ball and beat Neil Cutler from 15 yards .

The Millers were fantastic, and deserved all 3 points. Forest didn't look like a top of the table side. And Will Hoskins added another brilliant goal to his ever-growing collection.
