Comments on Opposition

Rotherham Athletic are a newly formed 11 a side team having played just one season together in friendly matches in 11 a side format. However, they have been regular competitors in the 5 a side Futsal leagues (
http://www.futsalengland.co.uk/). Having played a number of friendly games Rotherham Athletic will be moving into Saturday afternoon football next season playing in the South Yorkshire Amateur League, (http://www.football.mitoo.co.uk/Sheff.htm).

Previous Meetings

The Internet Millers have had two previous matches with Rotherham Athletic coming out on top in both games. The first was in last years pre-season, with the IM running out 7-0 victors on a dry and sunny day down at Herringthorpe. A more recent match was in February this year where once again the Millers triumphed 5-1 in a much more competitive game but the Millers finishing in the second period inflating the score line. Leading scorer Steve Burns will be looking to continue his good form against Rotherham Athletic having scored an hatrick in both the aforementioned games.

Pre Match Comments

The later Sunday kickoff has enabled us to just about put together the Worldnet squad. Therefore patience will be needed by the players but rest assured everyone will take part in the game at some point. Once again it’s a good chance to try out a
3-5-2 and 4-4-2 formations before Worldnet so we will be mixing it up a little throughout the match with a probable 3-5-2 start to the game. As it’s a Sunday night if everyone fancies staying in the bar for a drink or two afterwards to discuss things that would be refreshing! Also please remember to bring any outstanding Worldnet fees or personal shirt fees.
