Ex Manager Burns In QPR Link

The lanky striker had managed the South Yorkshire outfit over two spells and led them to a league title and Worldnet glory, ironically beating QPR in the final, but departed as he expressed his desire to move to a higher level.

QPR meanwhile, are on the lookout for a new manager after current gaffer Jordan led his team to an embarrassing win in the ‘Numpty Cup', failing to qualify for the big boys competition and has led his team through a reign that has been blighted by threats of stabbings and handbags at 10 paces between himself and his captain on the field!

The London based team, who are one of the most successful clubs in IFA history, have been courting Burns for some time. As recently as May, Burns was spotted on a private yacht in Barcelona with high ranked QPR officials and is believed to have been offered the job and introduced to his potential to teammates.

Following his return from Barcelona the 42-goal hit man suffered personal problems and became a recluse as he pondered the offer. A week later, he was the victim of a tabloid sting as he met with an Irishman in Belfast who had conned Burnsy into thinking that he was a QPR fan destined to take over the IFA side. Pictures and a transcript of the conversation, where Burns declared a real affection for The Hoops, appeared in The Sun and questions of Burns' loyalty to Internet Millers were raised.

QPR Club captain, Tina, has always been keen on Burns following a string of tough battles on the pitch, all of which have been won by the ex Rotherham man and with his turbulent relationship with Jordan, Tina is believed to be the ringleader in head hunting Burns. At the recent Worldnet tournament, the QPR skipper spent the majority of his time lurking around the IMFC camp, hoping to get a moment on his own with the Rotherham gaffer or perhaps just wanted to be to get a look at the 2006 league winners medals. His pursuit of Burns reached a pinnacle when the QPR squad mysteriously booked in to the IBIS hotel in Leeds, the same hotel that the Rotherham team were based at following several QPR players having access to Rotherham's booking plans.

To further compound these rumours, a spokesman from QPR called Ant said: “Mr Burns was spotted in a West London estate agent wearing the latest QPR home shirt.”

No official word has come from Burnsy's camp as yet but close allies are thought to have told gathering journalists: “He is unlikely to consider a move to QPR as he left Rotherham to enhance his career and play at a higher level and this would be seen as a step back.”
