Internet Millers Programme Article- Leeds United

We had beaten Darlington our way to Worldnet glory so we knew that they’d be up for a spot of revenge. However, that was never going to be on the cards as we set off like a house on fire creating chance after chance. The final pass often let us down but we were playing some great stuff and eventually opened the scoring when Burnsy went on one of his mazy runs and beat at least four players before hitting the back of the net with a little help from a defender. It was soon 2-0 when a cleared corner fell to Gaz who put in a pinpoint cross for Denti to get a rare goal as he thumped a header home. It was real one-way traffic as more chances went begging before Gaz eventually got on the score sheet himself when he had a shot deflected in.

We made wholesale changes at half time but things didn’t change much as we pounded Darlo’s goal. Burnsy netted his second to make it four after a great move but also got injured in the process so that was the end of his game. It was soon five when JV scored a good solo effort, beating three players before shooting through the keeper’s hands. Despite continuing to dominate the play that was the end of the scoring and we had to settle for an already comprehensive 5-0 scoreline.

Meanwhile off the pitch, the team have a social event this weekend as we are all off out for a meal and to paint the town red on Friday night as we have no game. We are next in action when we play Barnsley after the main game due to the early kick off. So if you aren’t excited by the prospect of watching England, why not come and watch us instead.
