Internet Millers Programme Article- Huddersfield

Despite only playing seven games to date, we have had a wonderful start to the season maintaining a 100% record and 2005 has undoubtedly been the most successful year in IMFC’s four year history on the pitch. Winning Worldnet in the summer was such a huge achievement that it cannot be understated. 64 teams over two days of intense tournament football in scorching temperatures is a gruelling prospect so we were highly delighted at that.

Our start to the league campaign has put us in with a great chance of winning it, but as we enter a jammed run of fixtures after Christmas our Championship credentials will be tested to the max. If we can come out of these six fixtures inside a month still having a 100% record then we have be looking to be the favourites for the title.

Our chances of more glory, this time in the IFA Cup have received a boost as Bury shocked everyone by travelling to Ayr and winning resoundingly. They now host Hearts at home and would be favourites to progress to meet us in round two (the Ayr game was a preliminary tie). Now we don’t under estimate Bury as they are a top side but travelling to Edinburgh is always difficult and we’d take a much stronger squad to Bury so would hold much higher hopes of a victory.

With our unrivalled success of late, where our last defeat of any sort was in the IFA Cup ¼ finals against Hibs in May, we keep expecting a call from someone at the club, wanting to take a few of our better players as the first team have been struggling of late! We haven’t had one yet so we will keep doing our job and live in hope!

Below is the current league table (2 points for a draw 1 point for defeat) and list of forthcoming fixtures:
