So we remain in fourth spot in the league with a 100% record and games in hand over the teams above us.

Our next fixture is scheduled to be Saturday 12th November when we host Mansfield Town. This will be the first meeting between the two teams and we have found that due to our status of Worldnet Champions we are getting a lot of teams wanting to play us, which is a good thing especially considering the way the main fixture list has panned out and limited the opportunities we have had to play League One opponents. This will change after Christmas but it’s good to be able to get games in and points on the board early season.

Meanwhile, the draw for the IFA Cup was made last weekend and it was a bittersweet result for us. It was good in the respect that we received a bye to the second round but it was a bad draw as we have been drawn away again to keep in tact our record of never having had a home tie in three years of entering the competition. It is made worse by the fact that we are to play the winners of Ayr or Bury v Hearts and if that goes to form we will end up in Ayr and return to Scotland for the third consecutive year! We are placing a lot of emphasis on winning the competition this year but it is going to be tough as there are a lot of tough teams and venues to face between now and the final in July. We haven’t been given the best draw, so fingers crossed that Bury pull a few surprises!
