Millers v Stockport Player Ratings

Andy Warrington 6

He had to pick the ball out of his net on four occasions yet had virtually no other saves to make. With such a weak defence in front of him tonight, he had a thankless task.

Dale Tonge 4

Back at his usual right back spot, Tonge had a hard time against a tricky winger. He was penned in meaning he could not offer any attacking threat although his miss with the score at 1-1 just after half time proved to be the turning point.

Ian Sharps 3

Sharps had a night to forget as he was run ragged by an outstanding front pairing. Beaten to balls, missed clearances and lots of fouls marred the defender's performance.

Graham Coughlan 5

The captain also had a nightmare trying to contend with the Stockport attack but made a slightly better job of it than his defensive partner. Not one of his best games.

Paul Hurst 3

The full back's first appearance for some time and you could see why. Continually the target of long balls, three of Stockport's goals came from the left hand side Hurst offered little resistance.

Mark Hudson 4

The Millers goalscorer had a poor night. He had a good volleyed effort saved and did score but apart from that was off the pace. Muscled off the ball far too often, he use of the ball going forward was not good enough.

Pablo Mills 3

Mills' run of poor form continues as he had a shocker. His break up of play was non existant, use of the ball woeful and all in all contributed nothing.

Danny Harrison 5

Went close to getting on the scoresheet again and got around the pitch but his passing was off the mark and with Mills was totally overrun by Stockport's midfield.

Peter Holmes 6

Replacing the injured Brogan, Holmes had a decent first half and put some dangerous crosses in the box. Ineffective in the second half as the away side totally dominant but scrapes the man of the match.

Chris O'Grady 3

The need for a new striker has never been more apparent as there was another abject display by O'Grady tonight. Contributing absolutely nothing, his hold up play was abysmal and his use of the ball rubbish.

Derek Holmes 5

Extremely unlucky to be the striker taken off, Holmes actually linked up fairly well. The headers he won did not go to anyone though and his immobility means Rotherham have one tactic.

Ryan Taylor 4

Came on when it was too late, he too got no change out of a strong and physical Stockport defence
