We should be talking about a win - Knill

After a poor first half performance, which saw the Millers keeper Neil Cutler stretchered off, Alan Knill was happy with his teams showing after the restart.

Speaking to the assembled post-match press conference, Knill said he felt happier with the squad

"Brighton away and Today even though we've lost one nil, it looks like we're recovering. We've taken quite a few knocks but the performance at Brighton was resolute and solid and today it was the same. We really should be talking about a three or four - one win. But thats how it is, we arent but you can take a lot of positives out of the performance."

"Hendo hit the post, he's also made the keep make a great save. The good thing is that we're creating chances and especially second half we looked dangerous, so I'm pleased with that aspect of it, but if you have 6 good chances then you have to at least take one, and the good teams do."

However, todays showing was one that can get the Millers out of the relegation zone where they currently sit 10 points away from safety according to Knill.

"I think it had all you need to get out of the situation we're in, it had commitment and fight and you have to have that, I have it and I have to say my team had it in abundance especially second half."

Knill then spoke about Cutlers injury, which saw the big keeper who was having a good game stretchered off just before half-time, after a late challenge from Billy Sharp. "I believe he was concussed, as he's gone for the ball the lads come in and caught him in the head. He was concussed and hes gone to hospital."

"I think it was a late challenge, but the referee has made his decision, I think if that was a challenge on an outfield player then the ref would have given a foul and a booking. I don't see what the difference is with the keeper."

"I was dissapointed with it, The ref said he thought he made the right call, but unfortunately my Keeper has been carried off on a stretcher so I dont think it was."

"When somebody catches somebody on the head I think its a late one. If they catch him on the hand then I'll accept it because he's gone for the ball, but he caught him on the head." Knill added.

Alan then went onto praise Ritchie Partridges contribution, "I thought Ritchie did a lot better today, he's been in and out but hes been positive today and I just need more of that."

"I have to say though that second half it was a really positive performance and even though we lost one-nil the supporters showed thier apprieciation that we are in there fighting to get out of this position we're in."

"It's about belief, if you do the right things, put the ball in the right areas you'll have chances. It's a basic game, sometimes we just overcomplicate it at times and want to play in the wrong areas instead of making them defend. We've got technical players in the bottom third and the top third and I don't mind them doing whatever they want to do, but in our half they have to play percentages and put the ball in thier half."

"It's a positive performance but again the wrong result for me."
