We played some decent stuff tonight - Robins

Last updated : 19 August 2009 By Duke

The Millers second away game of the season yielded all three points at Blundell Park, after a penalty from Adam Le Fondre and a Micky Cummins goal saw the Millers beat Grimsby 2-1

After the match Mark Robins said on the Official Site:

"We played well and could have won by more goals,"

"The only downside is that Ian Sharps has limped out with a groin strain and Jamie Green has picked up an injury. Apart from that I am delighted to pick up three points on the road.

"I thought we played some decent stuff tonight. We penned them into their half in the first 45 and we would have liked to have got on the end of something but it wasn't to be. We kept plugging away and got our awards in the second half. There were some pleasing things to come out of the game, we also need to keep an eye on one or two things injury wise but we will enjoy tonight and then move onto the next game."

He was pleased to see his latest signing get off the mark:

"It was good to see Adam on the score sheet tonight and long may that continue,"

"He is a confident lad, and you can see that, and he should eventually pair up alongside Tom Pope very well."
