We didnt compete for 60 minutes - Knill

Knilly told BBC Radio Sheffield, "Obviously I'm dissapointed, we never turned up until the last 25 mintues. We never turned up and its just not good enough."

"The last thing I said before they went out was it's a derby so compete and be aggresive, but we never and gave them 2 goals. I thought it was a pretty poor performance."

"I think both goals were poor, the first goal, he gets down the line, we say stand up. He gets the cross in and then he gets across the keeper to put it in. It's a poor start but its a great comeback. You go 1 all and its game on."

"I dont think they were particularly good but they had more about them than we did, I have to say that the second goal was worse than the first as there was no need to play offside as we've got decent pace at the back. But he chose to play offside and Shaw, well you leave him one on one and its going to be a goal."

"We were poor all round and I can't think there were many individuals who came away with much credit. It's one of those where we just have to regroup. We go again on Tuesday it's a pretty quick schedule. Lots of games this month. Tranmere on Tuesday then another derby at home to Doncaster."

Speaking about Neil Cutlers yellow card for handballing outside the area, "I really did'nt see it. But someone said he was outside the area but there was plenty of defenders. I think he was wide aswell, if he had been down the middle he would have been sent off but because he was wide there was defenders central. Thats's why I think hes given the yellow."

"Today I thought come here and at least be competative but for 60 minutes of the game we was'nt and if you dont compete in this league then your not going to win many games. It's for us to go back and look at it, do some work on it and take Tranmere on Tuesday."

Knill was then asked about Michael Keane's reaction to being dropped and if he would come back for Tuesdays game "No reaction, no reaction at all. It's upto Michael after last week he has'nt been to me, he has'nt been to me once to speak about it. I would have expected him to come and say something, but he has'nt. We'll leave it open at the moment and maybe we'll talk tomorrow."

Looking forward to the next 2 games this week, "Tranmere is a tough game, they won yesterday 1-0 and theyre a big strong team."

"The next two games we've got probably the 2 money teams in the league Tranmere and Doncaster so it's a big test for us, but if we play well as we've already shown we can compete with anybody. But we have to be at our best and if you turn up with 6 or 7 players not at their best then your going to struggle."
