Speaking at the post match press conference, the gaffer was full of praise for his team.
"The lads are absolutely gutted that they didn't win and that is a measure of where we are and shows how far we have come, Early in the season we may have been hanging on for a point but they were the team who were happy to hear the final whistle.
"I think the other side are going to be sitting there after the game thinking they are very lucky to have come out with a point.
"We were clearly the better team and especially with the way we played in the second-half. We dominated the last half an hour and how we have only come away with a point is a mystery. Sometimes you just need that bit of luck which we didn't get. We did everything to win the game but just couldn't get over the line."
