We created more chances - Robins

The Millers boss, who was pleased with the overall performance, felt his team created the better goalscoring opportunities in the single goal win sealed by Alex Rhodes' cross shot on the hour mark.

He explained to themillers.co.uk: "It wasn't the greatest game of football but I thought we deserved the victory.

"We created the better opportunities, the balance of the side looked good and I felt we could go on and score more goals. We had alot of possession but at times gave it away in daft areas, which is a little frustrating but when you play in heat like that it makes it tough.

"We were magnificent at the back and coped with everything that was thrown at us. in the end restricting them to just one or two shots so that's pleasing. There's nine months of the season to go and we need to continue our good start and try to improve with each game."

Robins then spoke about Luton full back Claude Gnapka who could well have received a second yellow in the second half for a reckless lunge on Rhodes: "The referee had a decision to make and he made the call, so you have to get on with it", Robbo said. "I am not the type of person to shout for players to be sent off so we just get on with it."

Mark Lynch was substituted late in proceedings with injury, and Robbo added: "Mark Lynch felt his shoulder pop out of socket so it's something we need to look at because he's in a little bit of pain at the moment."
