Too many silly free kicks - Moore

Last updated : 20 February 2010 By Duke

Millers boss Ronnie Moore felt his side should have had the game won at half-time. Speaking to the official site Moore said:

"We went too deep in the second half and gave away too many silly free

kicks," "Their goal was the only time during the night that we didn't deal with the first ball. We have got to learn that we cannot drop as deep as we do in the second half. We wanted to put the ball in behind their back four but unfortunately in the second half we didn't do that. In the first half we got some decent crosses into the box and we really should have put the game to bed."

The Millers saw left-back Gavin Gunning stretchered off late in the first-half Moore is hopeful he might be ok for Monday's home game with Shrewsbury, saying:"Gavin has got a split head; he was very dizzy and sick so we are going to have to wait to see what happens with him,"
"He has had a couple of stitches but we are hopeful that he will be fine for Monday"
On the sending off of Gary Roberts for two yellow cards Moore revealed that may not be his only problem.

"I thought the sending off was a bit harsh to say the least because he made a genuine effort to get there first, he was only half a yard off the ball and on another day he gets there first and we are away. He has also hurt his shoulder as well so he is off for an x-ray now so there could be some bad news on that injury." said Moore
