That was a fantastic advert for League 2.. - Ronnie.

"I think it was a fantastic derby to be fair, I thought we were the better side by a mile in the first half and should have been three up, however we knew with the players that Chesterfield have got they're going to have a spell in the game and they didn't disappoint us. In the end we could have been hanging on a little bit but we defended and the players have thrown bodies at everything."

"There was some great football played especially in the first half, counter-attacking and a little bit of luck we might have been three up. But then Woggy's made a great save first first half and a couple in the second. But we just about shaded it I think, there wouldn't have been a lot in it." Ronnie added.

"Woggy's made the saves at the right time, it's hard to pick a man of the match to be honest, when its a full blooded game like that and end to end, I think Woggy's made the saves at the right times, but thats what he's got to do. We defended well and the clean sheet is a big thing for us."

"But theres one or two players who put in a decent shift for us today, Popey's ran his socks off, chased things and hurried things and considering how long he's been out, all he needed was a goal and unfortunately it didnt fall for him."

"Nobody could have scored that goal what Alfie's done. Absolutely fantastic, to get it in from where he was, it was genius really. A fantastic finish, no doubt about it."

"We're not overreliant on his goals now, we're getting them all over. We've had some good chances first half that haven't gone in. This league's going to be tight this season, I've said it all along, theres not that much difference between the sides. A set play or a little bit of genius from one of your top players is that's how you win a game. There will be an awful lot of other tight games, I just think it was a fantastic advert for the second division and everybodies gave everything, Shez (John Sheridan - Chesterfield Manager) will probably be thinking he's been a little unfortunate today."

Ronnie was then asked about his intrest in 20 year old Donal McDermott from Manchester City and the possibility of him joining the Millers in the near future; "They're not willing to let anybody out, but we're moving in the right direction with the players we've got, but I still feel we need someone who's going to get their foot on it when we're under the cosh. We need somebody to slow the game down and get on it."

"Mark Bradley was desperately unlucky not to start the game, I thought and thought and thought and then it was just this morning and eventually I just went with a gut feeling. I would imagine Mark's very upset that he didn't start because he came on for half an hour and changed the game at Barnet, but I just had a gut feeling, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But I'm sure he'll be knocking on my door wanting to know why he didn't play."

"Ryan Taylor's had half an hour at Forest in the week and I would imagine he'll play in the rearranged one at Oldham this week to give him a game, I would imaging 10 days he will be knocking on the squad and being on the bench."
