Swindon - Knills thoughts.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after yesterdays vital 3-2 win at Swindon, which gives the Millers a fighting chance of staying up. Knill praised his players.

"I thought we were going to have to score 6 to win here, in the end it was 3 which is great to score 3 away from home, but we werent to happy about conceding 2."

"At half time I went in angry about the goals but the first thing I said was well done. To come back twice shows the team spirit, the commitment and mentality to keep going forward even when its looking bad. We kept going forward and took the game to the other team. We've got good players in the team which can do somthing for us, so we can always make chances."

The Millers had plenty of chances during the first half and really dominated the game however it was Swindon that took the lead, twice. "Butt's had a great chance, and he thought he should have lifted it, Shaw does brilliant, throws him a dummy and the keeper makes a great save."

"If we had come in at 4-2 then they couldnt have complained, but I was just concerned at half time that I knew we could scored but was'nt sure we could keep them out, and brilliantly we did."

"Leading upto Swindon's second goal, the ball came in too early, we give the players all the information on what they do. But the ball came in too easy, but Gary should do better, but I must also say thats the life of a keeper as he also kept us in it. He made a mistake at one end but kept us in it at the other. He's doing well since coming into the team and long may it continue."

Martin Butler also looked like his former self, grabbing 2 goals to add to Tuesday nights, "Martins looking a different player, I thought he played really well on tuesday. Myself and Martin had a chat last Sunday, we both put our views across, he came in Monday and I asked him if he was ok, he said yes. All of a sudden he seems more focused and that's the true Martin Butler which we've been waiting for."

"He's had injurys and stuff but I'm happy that we have a striker thats in form, he's looking like he can score every game and he looks like he cna make somethign for himself. But he brings a lot more to our team, hes strong in the boxes and holds the play up."

"I've spoke to him before as did Mick, but i just looked at him and thought well come on, its time to clear the air and say a few things. I have great respect for butt's, I have done for a long time he's a really conciensious lad, he works really hard in training. I thought he was sulking a bit so we had a chat and now all of a sudden he looks like a player again."

"I hope it continues as hes taken a lot of stick from supporters and pundits or whatever you call them, the best way to answer then is by this and i hope it carries on to the end of the season."

"Today the mentality was the good thing, it's easy to come away and have an away attitude where you think a point is good enough, it aint good enough - not in our postition we got to win games and this is how we're going to go for it. If we do go down hopefully we wont but at least we'll be going the right way by trying to win games."

"We have to win to close the gap, the results have gone alright for us today and upto 16th place are into it. We'll have a day off tomorrow and start looking at Chesterfield on monday."

Looking to next weeks derby with Chesterfield, "It's vital that we carry on in this vane, we'll just go into the game the same way, take the game to Chesterfield and see what happens.
