Ronnie was exceptionally pleased with Jody Morris's performance this afternoon, in an interview with Brian Chapple for BBC Radio Sheffield he said
"Jody Morris was excellent, he was always on the ball and some of his passing was magnificent. He's a premiership player playing for us!. When he missed from two yards out I couldnt believe it, but hes carried on and 2 minutes later he scored with a great strike from his left foot. And he was very unlucky with the one he hit the post with."

"But overall it was a good team performance, and I changed things around slightly just to strengthen us up a bit as Stoke are a big strong side and from set plays they're going to be a danger."

"I left out Monkey, and to be fair to him he's unfortunate because hes been
Man Of Match??
playing well in recent games, but i put Shaun Barker in the middle just to sit there, he stopped the balls going into the feet of the strikers making them hit long balls which was just what my two centre backs wanted. You can play Shaun anywhere he has so much ability. I've seen him play there for Knilly in the youth and reserves so I know he could do it. He was excellent today."

When asked about Mike Pollits save from Carl Asaba, Ronnie answerd "Pollys made two wonder-saves for us and Stoke really should have scored! I dont know how he's missed it!"

"Its a bit of a sickener when we saw the other results, but its down to us, its in our own hands and we have to get on with it. Its another game gone and thats how we look at it. We're on 49 points, with Watford, Burnley and Walsall to play who are all down there, so its in our own hands and if we go down then its our own faults!."

"We looked a good team today, we passed it well when people just say we're long ball team. But the full backs played good balls into midfield and the front two lads have worked thier socks off and caused no end of problems."

"Its a massive result for this club, and I'll give the lads a couple of days off, but we have another massive game on Saturday against Watford and if we can win it then we're a long way to safety."

"If were perform like that in the next four games, we'll be ok. The support today was excellent also."
